We have an opening for a mid/senior Financial Analyst to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will work independently following established procedures to provide support and assistance to the financial management team. Perform routine budget analysis and resource management duties and be responsible for an annual budget of up to $35M. Will collect and disseminate information and identify and resolve issues. This position is in the Budget/Operations & Business/Security Division of the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) Organization. You will Participate in the development and moderately complex analysis of financial and workforce operating plans and review with management. Provide technical direction around the completion of short-term work goals. Gather, track, monitor, research and analyze moderately complex information on funding, costing, and workforce issues; research variances to plans and allocations; implement corrective actions. Formulate moderately complex work proposals for DOE/NNSA direct, Work-for-Others (WFO), and indirect funding sources. Interpret and apply Laboratory, LLNS and DOE/NNSA policies, procedures and processes to ensure work is in compliance with regulatory requirements. Provide input and perform self-assessments on financial audits. Represent the organization with internal groups and participate in groups or on committees. Foster effective relationships with customers, colleagues, and sponsors, both internal and external to the Laboratory. Perform other duties as assigned. Additional job responsibilities, at the C01.3 level: Independently develop and analyze complex financial workforce/operating plans and provide recommendations for review by management. Gather and analyze diverse and complex information on funding, costing, and workforce issues; research variances to plans and allocations; implement corrective actions as appropriate and perform complex research and analysis. Formulate and communicate decisions within scope of designated authority and provide financial and business process consultation and improvement expertise. Develop key institutional metrics, business indicators and other financial data and partner with appropriate analysts to ensure proper alignment to the Institutional Work Breakdown Structure. Formulate draft policies, procedures and processes with organizational and institutional impact in response to DOE/NNSA/LLNS and other federal financial laws, orders, and guidelines, serving as a subject matter expert with regard to the interpretation and application of financial standards, policies, and procedures. Represent department and/or directorate on working groups/committees and lead key efforts/projects to develop unique solutions to complex problems.
