The Department of Radiological Sciences is dedicated to conducting leading-edge research, providing the highest quality clinical education and delivering state-of-the-art care to our patients through the advanced diagnosis and treatment of disease through biomedical research. Our department scientists and physicians are constantly working to develop new technologies and imaging techniques that will become the medical imaging examinations and medical interventions of tomorrow. Under general supervision of the Finance Manager, Financial Analyst 2 provides financial analysis, budgetary support, and operational financial services for departmental programs and accounts within the Department of Radiological Sciences. The incumbent performs financial monitoring, reporting, reconciliation, and transaction processing to support departmental financial management. The position applies professional financial concepts and institutional policies to perform moderately complex financial analysis and fiscal management activities. Responsibilities include monitoring financial activity, preparing reports, processing financial transactions, and supporting compliance with university policies and procedures. The position also assists with financial planning, reporting, and operational support for departmental programs and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of financial and accounting principles, practices, and policies.
  • Ability to gather, organize, and analyze financial information to support fiscal management.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare financial reports and communicate financial information clearly.
  • Experience using spreadsheet and database software for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administrative partners.
  • Knowledge of internal control practices and financial compliance requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, or financial administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
