The Opportunity The Financial Analyst, an FP&A professional, will report through Cardiac Rhythm Management’s Global Freight & Distribution Finance team. This Global Finance team is responsible for financial forecasting of all distribution, warehousing, and freight logistics for Abbott’s Cardiovascular and Neuromodulation businesses. This position will be based in our soon to be completed distribution facility in Avon, IN. Until the facility is completed, the role will be temporarily based in Abbott’s Structural Heart location, Westfield, IN.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
  • 1+ year(s) of related experience.
  • Previous experience working with MS Office Suite: Excel and PowerPoint; must have strong proficiency with relevant financial systems applications.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Routinely performs financial planning and analysis activities for the Global Freight & Distribution network, with a focus on expense management. May include any combination of the following areas: budgeting and forecasting, accrual of liabilities, gross margin improvement projects, capital projects, FX, and headcount reporting
  • Participates in ad hoc analysis and reporting as required by finance management.
  • Provides routine reports to management based on knowledge of finance systems and knowledge of the Global Freight & Distribution operations.
  • Partners with key geographies to consolidate month-end analysis and commentary related to the financial close cycle
  • Prepares consolidated reporting, presentations and analysis for quarterly LBE cycles.
  • Executes annual goals and objectives as defined by the Global Freight & Distribution team
