About The Position

The Financial Analyst is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial and operational reporting that supports operational leadership and executive management. This role sits at the intersection of financial and operational data and will translate this information into clear analysis. The position partners closely with the CFO, Accounting, Operations, and Practice Management to support KPI reporting, month-end close reporting, and ongoing data and reporting enhancements. The role will serve as the administrative lead for Planful financial reporting and play a key role in ensuring consistency, accuracy, and scalability of recurring reporting.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Experience working in a finance, accounting, or analytics role
Strong understanding of GAAP, chart of accounts and financial statement structure
Hands-on experience building financial and management reports, including recurring and KPI-based reporting
Experience supporting recurring reporting cadences (weekly and month-end)
Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting tools

Experience with Planful or similar FP&A / financial planning and reporting platforms
Experience supporting multi-location, healthcare, hospital, or veterinary operations
Familiarity with management reporting in an evolving, growth-oriented environment

Responsibilities

Produce recurring weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial and operational reporting for leadership and executive review
Own and support monthly hospital financial reporting within Planful, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with accounting close outputs
Serve as the primary Planful administrator, including data loads, reporting structures, mappings, and ongoing system support
Partner with Accounting and FP&A to validate actuals, review variances, and explain drivers versus budget and forecast
Analyze revenue, invoice activity, patient counts, provider productivity, labor, and other key business drivers at the practice, region, and enterprise level
Prepare clear variance commentary and insights for leadership, connecting Planful outputs to operational performance
Produce and maintain weekly KPI reporting and other recurring performance dashboards
Maintain core KPI definitions, calculations, and reporting logic to ensure consistency and accuracy across the organization
Maintain a strong understanding of the chart of accounts, including mappings between accounting systems, Planful, and reporting outputs
Ensure data integrity across financial systems and reporting tools
Document reporting processes, assumptions, and methodologies to support scalability and knowledge transfer
Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, automation, and usability
