About The Position

We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst to support a very active Investment Real Estate Brokerage team in our office in Oak Brook, IL. This role provides underwriting and analytical support in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment. Commercial real estate experience is strongly preferred. The Sharko | Weisenbeck | Mendoza Group is a team of proven leaders in the sale of retail, medical, and net-leased investment real estate. The SWM Group is highly productive and has completed over 1k transactions totaling over $4 billion in transaction volume. As we remain incredibly active, we are looking to add an ambitious financial analyst to our team to grow with us and contribute to the continued success of the team. Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in a financial analysis position
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, quantitative, writing and communication skills.
  • Self-driven, collaborative, and able to manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a financial analyst environment in the commercial real estate industry is strongly favored.
  • Experience with CoStar or similar CRE tools is a great advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Complete complex financial modeling, pro-formas, and other analysis in Excel with attention to detail.
  • Assist in preparation of commercial real estate sales proposals, offering memorandums and various other types of client reports.
  • Organize and review income statements, rent rolls, and lease documents for use in property valuation.
  • Assist in acquisition/disposition process by preparing financial analysis, including rent modeling, Cash Flow analysis based on Net Operating Income, Cap Rates, Equity Return, Price per Square Foot, or other methods.
  • Prepare financial or executive summaries for all active listings.
  • Organize and present operating statement analysis, draw objective conclusions and make recommendations.
  • Produce timely and accurate documents including reports, memos, proposals, charts, agreements, presentations, etc.
  • From time-to-time, Analyst will have direct contact with clients and other brokers representing prospects.
