About The Position

OMnet is a wholly owned subsidiary of Omnicom Media Group Holdings, LLC and was founded in late 2013. Operating as the principal buying arm of OMG, OMnet creates a private marketplace of premium media by entering into firm media commitments in return for discounts v. the marketplace. OMnet works with over 150 clients across the Omnicom network and continues to grow in all media sectors. We have a great opportunity for a Financial Analyst that will be part of the close-knit and supportive Finance Team. This role will focus on the budget management and month-end close processes among other responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Finance/Accounting degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of Financial Planning and Accounting experience required; Big Four audit experience is a plus
  • Experience in media or advertising industry a plus
  • High proficiency in Excel including pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, charts, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Works well independently and on teams
  • Tenacity to follow-through on open items to complete assignments and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and follow instructions
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact within team and across functions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the monthly close of actuals (revenue and expenses)
  • Accountable for the monthly/quarterly/annual financial planning and analysis
  • Investigate and prepare variance analysis and rollforwards for budget/forecast/actual reporting periods
  • Accountable for monthly balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Prepare support schedules for inter/intra company allocations, accruals, and corresponding journal entries
  • Understand results and respond to questions from management
  • Review, code, and approve vendor and travel expenses
  • Assist as liaison between the Systems Manager and Operations to set up new vendors, job codes, etc.
  • Ad-hoc projects and reporting using Excel, TM1, Hyperion; reports include but are not limited to: Billings and Revenue, P&L's, Payroll Schedules, Balance Sheet
