The Financial Analyst reports to the Manager of FP&A and is responsible for all program budgets, agency budgets and financial analysis for their designated regions. They will work closely with Regional leaders and some clinical staff on a consistent basis.

Requirements

  • Minimum educational level is a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounting, required.
  • Demonstrated advanced level skill with Microsoft Office products with emphasis in Excel.
  • Familiarity with accounting software applications, NetSuite/Certify/Ultipro/Evolv preferred.
  • Above average mathematical skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • Computer literacy skills, including Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic database usage, as well as basic typing.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and manage statistical and financial data, resulting in the creation of meaningful reports for internal directors and cost center managers to lead them into business improvements and cost reductions.
  • Report and analyze monthly financial results, uncovering core issues using data and provide explanations for variances and trends within assigned regions.
  • Prepare/present on daily/weekly/monthly key financial metrics, for management, senior leadership and Board level.
  • Coordinate and prepare the annual budget and forecast process, as well as create and maintain budget and forecast models with directors for select new and renewal programs.
  • Prepare/support strategic financial modeling for existing programs and/or new programs.
  • Monitor expenditures against budget for the purpose of ensuring the accuracy of reported information, availability of funds and compliance, and prepare budget adjustment requests for various funders.
  • Work with data providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated and timely.
  • Correspond and collaborate with other personnel and or outside agencies for the purpose of implementing and maintaining services and/or programs in accordance with established financial policies, practices and regulatory guidelines.
  • Assist with the periodic program financial review and semi-annual program forecast process.
  • Assist with audit work papers and works with financial auditors as needed.
  • Prepare and deliver the annual Title IV-E cost Report by agreed upon deadline.
  • Active involvement in the planning, organization, and implementation of special projects related to finance.
