GENERAL PURPOSE Conducts finance-related activities in support of small to medium sized projects/functions or small to medium business units. Prepares fundamental analyses and research to generate data for inclusion in financial forecasts and projections. Typically, assignments provide exposure to fundamental financial concepts, issues and activities.

  • Builds internal network of contacts / sources to collect and / or validate data.
  • Assists in communicating information as requested.
  • Conducts financial analysis through application of fundamental accounting / finance principles, concepts, theories and techniques on assignments that are specific in nature, requiring basic understanding and experience in the field.
  • Continuously increases knowledge of the organization and personal business acumen through ongoing learning activities.
  • Functions as financial analyst and business partner with assigned client group / segment of the organization.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
  • Prepares fundamental analyses and research to generate data for inclusion in financial forecasts and projections.
  • Uses established procedures, works under direct supervision, and directs efforts towards clearly defined results.

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting / Finance.
  • 2-4 years of professional financial analysis experience.
  • Fundamental knowledge and expertise in finance area of specialty.
  • Analytical skills to identify and analyze problems and generate ideas and solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use office automation/communication tools and software currently being used in the HMI office environment including related Financial programs and software.
  • Proven ability to accomplish desired objectives / outcomes by influencing individuals at all levels.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
