About The Position

Shopoff Realty Investments is looking for the absolute best and brightest to join our team of dedicated professionals as a Financial Analyst – Real Estate Investments, at our home office in Irvine, California. About the Role We are seeking a Financial Analyst – Real Estate Investments to join our Finance team. This role focuses on fund-level performance analysis, investor returns, and capital allocation strategies across our real estate investment portfolio. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and investment services to deliver insights that drive investor success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in real estate investment, portfolio analysis, or financial modeling.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Index Match, financial formulas).
  • Strong understanding of investor reporting requirements and fund structures.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with 506(b) or 506(c) private placements a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate fund-level performance of real estate investment portfolio.
  • Prepare and analyze budget to actual reports with detailed variance commentary for a portfolio of investment vehicles, including syndicated investor funds, to support strategic decision-making.
  • Track and maintain preferred return schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance with partnership agreements.
  • Compile and analyze key fund-level metrics – such as IRR, equity multiples, leverage ratios – to assess capital needs, liquidity, and investment performance.
  • Develop and maintain advanced financial models to evaluate asset and fund-level performance and translate complex data into actionable recommendations for management.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses and special projects related to investor performance, fund structures, and capital allocation strategies.
  • Prepare comprehensive investor reporting and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely, accurate communication; provide support to Investment Services for investor inquiries.
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting and projections to optimize liquidity and capital deployment across the portfolio.
  • Compare projected versus actual results to identify areas for improvement and enhance investor returns.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of financial information, investor data, and investment decisions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the company’s portfolio of assets and investor performance objectives.
