About The Position

The Financial Analyst position at Mars, Incorporated is designed for a digital-savvy and energetic individual who will play a crucial role in providing financial insights and support to the Pet Nutrition North America business. The role involves collaborating with various multifunctional teams to analyze financial data, enhance reporting, and ensure financial commitments are met. The analyst will report to the Supply Chain Strategy Finance Lead and will be responsible for turning data into actionable insights related to overhead spending and capitalizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance-related fields
• Understanding of basic financial processes and controls
• Knowledge of Excel, SAP, and Power BI
• Process improvement experience is an advantage.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with financial modeling
• Familiarity with project management methodologies

Responsibilities

• Control and report dedicated P&L lines on short-, mid-, and long-term perspectives, providing performance analysis and planning.
• Contribute to financial processes, including period closing, future performance planning, and cash estimation for P&L, along with reporting for different forums.
• Coordinate closely with all functions/departments to ensure target delivery and maintain relationships with business/functional managers to review performance and suggest corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement in dedicated areas such as overheads and capital, acting as a project leader or team member to reflect business changes in systems and processes.
• Improve current tools and processes, including the development and rollout of digital tools.
