Serves as a senior financial authority for UCSF Health Design & Construction (HDC), leading strategic capital financial planning, enterprise resource allocation, and financial policy development for the capital program, including Major and Routine Capital Projects totaling approximately $1B. Exercises a high degree of independent judgment and discretion in developing financial methodologies, establishing evaluation criteria, interpreting policy, and setting institutional standards for capital financial management, internal controls, and risk stewardship. Operates with delegated authority to balance regulatory compliance, financial integrity, and organizational objectives. Provides expert-level financial consultation to Executive and Senior Leadership, influencing decisions related to funding strategies, portfolio governance, and enterprise financial risk. Represents UCSF Health and Real Estate in high-level internal and external forums, including direct engagement with State Auditors and external oversight entities, ensuring institutional accountability, credibility, and compliance. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors, including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. The approved salary range for this position is $113,800-$165,000, depending on relevant experience. Seven (7) or more years of relevant progressive experience Expert knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems, particularly within a higher education or healthcare capital program environment. Advanced ability to identify, collect, analyze, and report on complex financial and operational data. Demonstrated success in designing and implementing financial policies, internal controls, and capital funding strategies. Expert communication and presentation skills for executive audiences. Expertise in PeopleSoft, Oracle, Unifier, and advanced Excel and data visualization tools. Exceptional consultative, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to function as a member of a team. Deep understanding of internal control practices and risk management. The ability to work onsite in our Mission Bay office located in San Francisco.
