About The Position

The Financial Analyst - Merchandising position involves demonstrating thought leadership and acting as an ambassador for Data Driven Merchandising initiatives. The role requires analyzing merchandise performance across various levels, including department, cluster, vendor, item, and location. The analyst will support the Business Unit (BU) in documenting strategic decisions related to pricing, promotions, and assortment, leveraging tools and reporting to provide timely insights. The position also involves organizing and visualizing data to communicate complex findings effectively to non-analytical peers. The analyst will work with cross-functional partners to identify gaps and make recommendations for improving existing tools and processes. Additionally, the role includes supporting the annual DDM planning process and contributing to the Global Analytical network. Continuous professional development is encouraged through workshops and networking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Business Analytics or a related field.
  • 2+ years of work experience in data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and email applications.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, and data visualization platforms (PowerBI, Tableau).
  • Experience with SQL is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and prioritize projects.
  • Outstanding analytic skills, logical reasoning, and data interpretation.
  • Experience working with individuals from different organizational functions.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops and publications.
