About The Position

The Financial Analyst Lead plays a critical role in supporting system financial operations, with a strong emphasis on accounting processes, inventory oversight, asset and liability tracking, and financial reporting. This role works closely with hospital teams and clinical leadership to ensure financial accuracy and operational alignment. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, particularly related to inventory, assets, liabilities, and forecasting, and the ability to translate that information into meaningful insights that support both strategic and operational decision‑making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Three (3) years’ relevant financial, accounting, or operational analysis experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) or more years’ experience in healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support the system finance team in delivering actionable information, including financial analysis, reporting, and pro forma development, to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
  • Oversee and support accounting processes that flow through hospital and related assets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and appropriate financial controls.
  • Ensure forecasting is performed effectively and accurately; develop analysis of economic indicators to assess organizational short, medium‑ and long‑term financial position.
  • Lead and support mid‑year and periodic inventory counts, coordinating with cross‑functional groups to ensure proper execution and documentation.
  • Monitor and analyze asset and liability activity and organizational spend, ensuring financial transparency and accountability.
  • Interpret financial and operational data related to costs, prices, expenses, revenues, and clinical or operational measures, developing clear recommendations for senior management.
  • Leverage advanced Excel capabilities (including Power Query) to enhance reporting efficiency, improve data visibility, and support complex analysis.
  • Provide analytical and consultative support to departmental, service line, and clinical leaders, helping teams solve problems and understand financial implications.
  • Serve as an informal leader on complex initiatives, coordinating across stakeholders, supporting peers, and consistently going above and beyond to deliver results.
  • Other duties as assigned.
