At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role. The 12-week internship program offers an immersive, hands-on learning experience designed to equip students with valuable skills, real-world projects, and opportunities to grow personally and professionally. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s or Masters degree program in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent degree program.
  • Knowledge of financial principles, data analysis, and economic modeling, with exposure to Capital Markets, Fixed Income, or Asset Liability Management, and strong critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze Financial Data: Gather and assess financial data to uncover trends and provide valuable insights into company performance.
  • Prepare Reports: Support financial reporting by collecting, organizing, and summarizing key financial information to help drive strategic decisions.
  • Support Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in developing financial forecasts by compiling and structuring data to support budgeting initiatives.
  • Maintain Financial Models: Help refine and update financial models and databases, including cash flow modeling, to enhance data accuracy and financial planning.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with various departments to gather critical financial information, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Engage in Special Projects: Take part in high-impact projects that support the finance team and contribute to BECU’s overall financial health.
  • Ensure Compliance & Accuracy: Uphold BECU’s commitment to compliance, regulatory standards, and data protection while carrying out your responsibilities.
