About The Position

The Financial Analyst Intern will join the Financial Planning & Analysis team at Saint-Gobain, focusing on the North American businesses. This role involves assisting with the analysis of monthly financial statements, updating recurring reports, and supporting projects aimed at improving efficiency. The intern will also conduct ad hoc analyses to aid management in decision-making.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a Business School or equivalent with a major in Accounting or Finance.
• Fundamental knowledge of financial statements, ratios, and main concepts of GAAP / IFRS.
• Advanced level of proficiency in Excel.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Windows software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements for management reporting, including analyzing business unit performance and variance analyses.
• Extract data from multiple systems such as SAP, Qlikview, and Magnitude to update recurring reports.
• Support the Financial Planning & Analysis team in projects that improve reporting efficiency.
• Perform financial analyses and reviews for key North American regional businesses' financial data.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis for management to support decision-making.
