About The Position

The Financial Analyst III works with the Manager of Budgeting and Analysis to perform annual budgeting, monthly financial performance analysis, quarterly financial forecasting, cost/profitability studies, acquisition analysis, and special projects. This role assists in providing financial analysis and planning support to the line and staff organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of financial analysis experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years advanced Excel experience including minimum of 1 year complex formula/function development, writing macros in VBA, and utilizing PivotTables and other methods to manipulate large datasets.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MS Access, ODBC, Report Writers, GL Systems, Query Tools (Brio, Business Objects, etc.), Data Manipulation/Compilation.
  • VBA experience a plus.
  • Ability to accurately, thoroughly and efficiently handle/analyze a high data volume.
  • Ability to perform financial and economic analyses at a macro and micro level.
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data from disparate sources and formulate a supportable conclusion.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects at the same time, working under tight deadlines.
  • Effective verbal/written communication skills to interact with all levels of Bank personnel.
  • Strong analytical skills required.
  • Ability to think through complex problems and develop solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the Budgeting/Forecasting Model’s system maintenance and enhancement.
  • Works with the Manager and/or other analysts to maintain, enhance and produce the Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) and Monthly Operating Performance Reporting.
  • Conducts financial analysis and problem solving in the performance reporting and transfer pricing.
  • Coordinates, consolidates and analyzes the annual budget and quarterly forecast.
  • Provides financial analysis and planning support to the line/staff groups.
  • Assists in performing acquisition analysis.
  • Works with the Manager on special projects as needed.
  • Maintains a proactive commitment to established Bank programs, such as CustomerFirst, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Equal Employment Opportunity.
