About The Position

The Financial Analyst is responsible for overseeing financial accounts within the Department of Pharmacy. The FA will be responsible for overseeing financial reconciliations to ensure accurate billing and posting of insurance payments to appropriate accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1 year of accounting/finance experience
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Word and Excel spreadsheets, pivot tables, and general ledger.
  • Experience in budget preparation, analysis, and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of budgeting.
  • Good communication skills, exercise initiative, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize and meet budget deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidential/sensitive information.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field
  • Experience in an academic/clinical setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Tracks, monitors and posts all financial data for the outpatient pharmacies.
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly financial reports (EPIC/Qlik)
  • Maintains payment postings and resolves insurance issues in the work queues
  • Reconciles daily and end of the month business activities including all postings
  • Creates special project revenue and expense reports as requested.
  • Follows through on monies due Pharmacy
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with Jefferson values.
  • Designed and maintained a database of all past and current manual postings including electronic payments
  • Collaborate with the Epic team in updating workflows and creating training material for other pharmacies
  • Maintain account work queues cleanup for all guarantor accounts
