About The Position

The Financial Analyst - Forecasting, Planning, and Analysis is responsible for analyzing financial information, identifying trends, and supporting the development and monitoring of corporate forecasting models. This role plays a key part in evaluating financial results, preparing ad hoc analysis, and supporting leadership with insights that drive strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)
  • Working knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles
  • Ability to manage projects and work well with all levels of management
  • Analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and efficient
  • Ability to use historical trends to develop dynamic budgeting and forecasting models
  • 0-2 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or Accounting preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with data mining tools such as Access, SAS, and SQL
  • Knowledge of financial models and tools such as NPV, IRR, etc.
  • Master's degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial information, including trends and forecasts
  • Develop, evaluate, and monitor short- and long-term corporate forecasting models
  • Analyze monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial results and communicate key trends
  • Create balance sheet, revenue, and expense forecasts for disclosures and business scenarios
  • Perform variance analysis and research to explain differences
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of financial data and information sources
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis for management
  • Support the FP&A Manager or AVP with special projects, including trend analysis and issue investigation
