This position is posted as a hierarchy at the Financial Analyst I or Financial Analyst II level. Successful candidate(s) will be hired at the level that is commensurate with their skills and experience Position Summary Assists with the development, tracking, reporting and analysis of financial information, including financial reporting, budget and forecast creation, and variance analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business degree or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Demonstrated skills in analysis, problem solving, customer service, and relationship building desired.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of finance or accounting internship preferred.
  • CPA, CMA or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in general financial accounting or analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with collecting and analyzing financial data in order to perform some or all of the following processes: budget development, variance reporting for supported areas, preparing internal and external reports, and identifying data issues.
  • Analyze financial data to identify adverse trends and recommend solutions to mitigate financial impact.
  • Applies knowledge of financial rules and concepts and company policies and procedures to resolve commonly occurring issues.
  • Assist with financial analysis and support to the team for the annual budget process, as well as support for current year and five year forecasting.
  • Provide timely and accurate assistance to clients within supported business area, including but not limited to interpretation of account codes or financial reports, providing project status reports, and work order resolution.
  • Participate in or support special projects as assigned.
