About The Position

Abbott is a global healthcare leader, creating breakthrough science to improve people's health. We're always looking towards the future, anticipating changes in medical science and technology. The position is for an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team in Abbott Park, IL. This position will be responsible for providing primary financial support for various Corporate FP&A activities and deliverables, specifically assisting in building the monthly financial package presented by Corporate Controller and reviewed with the CEO and staff. The role involves engineering monthly analytics to provide insights into individual business and total Abbott performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting
  • 2-5 years of experience performing financial and variance analysis, forecasting, planning, and financial modeling
  • Previous experience working with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and financial planning applications
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and engage others to accomplish projects in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Planning System (HFM) and Essbase

Responsibilities

  • Lead/assist with consolidation of monthly Operations package for Corporate Controller to present at CEO Staff meeting
  • Provide meaningful insights into monthly results to be used as support for Corporate Controller into Operations Staff meeting
  • Act as point person for all Country specific income statement or balance sheet requests from Treasury, Investor Relations, CFP&A and CFR
  • Consolidate and provide meaningful commentary for Top 10 Country P&Ls monthly for CEO
  • Assist as needed in Board of Directors package consolidation
  • Assist as needed with Organic Execution Model (OEM) process
  • Continuously work to enhance current reporting processes and document as appropriate
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and projects
