About The Position

The Financial Analyst will support the gathering, analyzing, and transforming of complex business data to aid in strategic decision-making for Amazon's minority investment and warrant portfolio. This role requires proficiency in Excel and a foundational understanding of equity securities. As part of the role, the person in this position will help maintain the investment and warrant reporting reviews that reach senior leadership across multiple teams. The reporting contains investment performance statistics, KPI's, and high-level themes that affect Amazon's portfolio. A key focus of this role will be the ongoing tracking and management of warrant vesting schedules across the portfolio. This includes monitoring vesting milestones and trigger events, reconciling vesting status against contractual terms, maintaining accurate and up-to-date vesting records, and partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure timely recognition and reporting of vesting activity. The analyst will be expected to identify discrepancies, flag upcoming vesting events, and support the team in evaluating the financial impact of vested and unvested warrants. The ideal candidate will have solid business acumen, technical skills, and analytical capabilities to translate data into meaningful insights while becoming comfortable working with ambiguity. Additionally, this candidate would be encouraged to challenge inefficient or long-standing procedures and look for opportunities to support continuous improvements through simplification and innovation.
