Requirements

  • 3 years of cumulative experience in finance or budget operations.
  • Ability to produce complex analysis of data with minimal supervision.
  • Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with common finance or budget system environments.

  • Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance of budget systems and annual budget processes.
  • Serve as budget analyst responsible for recording central fund commitments in the Commitment Database.
  • Review new cost center and program worktag requests in UW systems.
  • Complete and submit allotment packages to the State of Washington's Office of Financial Management.
  • Process funding transfer journal entries as necessary.
  • Support the UW's annual budget process, including development of Workday Adaptive Planning models.
  • Utilize reporting tools to produce financial and budget information.
  • Champion consistency in the application of business rules and definitions.
