About The Position

The Financial Aid Representative – Continuing Students is responsible for assisting students in navigating the setup of aid to help cover their tuition, as well as monitoring their progression throughout their program. This consists of, but is not limited to, guiding students through relevant applications, recalculating eligibility, and counseling students on how eligibility changes may affect their finances. Daily responsibilities on the Continuing Team vary, as tasks shift with the student’s lifecycle. At times, it is application-heavy; at others, processing, recalculating, and auditing take on more of a priority.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
  • Prior financial aid experience of at least 3 years.
  • Deeper understanding of how financial aid progresses.
  • Ability to quickly reconcile a ledger.
  • Very close attention to detail.
  • Ability to explain complicated situations in a meaningful way.

Responsibilities

  • Assist students in navigating the setup of financial aid to cover tuition.

  • Keep sensitive information safe and secure.
  • Show promptly for scheduled meetings and calls.
  • Successfully implement new procedures.
  • Foster an engaged working relationship with institution counterparts.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
