About The Position

Are you a detail-oriented problem-solver with a passion for helping students? Join our team and provide essential communication support to our Financial Aid department! You'll be the first point of contact for students and their families, answering questions via email, phone, and in person. You'll also play a key role in processing crucial documents, ensuring all information is accurate and compliant with federal, state, and institutional guidelines. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Up to one year of administrative experience; customer service related experience; experience in Higher-Education.
  • Written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and basic database software.

  • Associate's, vocational or technical training.

Responsibilities

  • Process documents received and reach out for additional information to complete Financial Aid files for eligibility for institutional and state/federal aid.
  • Answer phone calls and emails from families and greet walk-ins to assist in questions regarding financial aid and required documentation that we request.
  • Log phone calls and email communication.
  • Generate digital and paper copies of Financial Aid Notification letters and revised letters for incoming students, current students and returning students for the upcoming academic year.
  • Assist Admissions team with admitted student packets including Financial Aid notification letters.
  • Process incoming mail and submit check requests and invoice payments.
  • Document receipt of outside scholarships in student's financial aid file.
  • Perform additional non-essential tasks and responsibilities as needed.
