The Financial Aid Analyst is responsible for providing, obtaining, and processing student financial aid information, and packaging financial aid awards. This position is responsible for providing individualized professional financial aid counseling to current and prospective students and parents. This position is also responsible for providing information through outreach to the university and greater community at large. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Requirements

  • The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least one year of experience in student financial aid or a related area
  • Knowledge of counseling techniques
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of money management
  • Ability to effectively disseminate information orally and in writing
  • Ability to collect, analyze, compile, and record data
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a higher education professional office setting
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Customer service experience
