The Financial Aid Advisor II – Federal Loans, under direction, serves as a subject matter expert for federal direct loan reconciliation, to include origination/disbursement error and NSLDS exception reports, such as: Over Loan Limits, Bankruptcies, and loan defaults. Responsibilities also include counseling students on their rights and responsibilities as borrowers of the federal loan programs and the effects of over borrowing, bankruptcies, and loan default as it relates to federal loan eligibility. Provides and promotes service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible and professional engagement. Counsels and corresponds with prospective, current and former students on matters pertaining to financial aid while also providing students with accurate information regarding the application process, including federal, state, institutional funds and loan programs.
