General Summary: Serves as a member of the Financial Aid departmental staff. This position involves a high degree of contact with student/parent customers via phone, email and direct personal counseling. Report to senior staff in the department. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database management programs.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Customer service and organizational skills.
  • Oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree
  • Three (3) years of direct customer service with clerical/technical experience.
  • Proficiency with MS, Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel) Email.
  • Ability to multi-task and be a team player.

Responsibilities

  • Front desk, telephone and email contact with students.
  • Must be able to answer variety of questions, be knowledgeable of financial aid processes and procedures including analysis of student records and enlist appropriate office/personnel as necessary for resolution.
  • Utilize computer software as an assisting tool for analysis and information.
  • Maintenance of confidentiality is required.
  • Communication and processing/copying/faxing necessary forms
  • Maintains 100% compliance with timely completion of required System, University and job-specific online training courses.
