About The Position

The position involves working closely with the Executive Pastor, Treasurer, and Finance Team to effectively manage the church's finances. The role requires processing accounting entries, performing reconciliations, conducting account analyses, and preparing financial statements. Additionally, the individual will support budget planning by creating worksheets for the Staff and Finance Team, ensuring that all financial information is accurate and accessible to ministry leaders. The position also entails generating and distributing quarterly and annual Contribution Statements, as well as assisting with donor inquiries to maintain transparency and trust within the community. Another key responsibility is to facilitate accounts payable processing, which includes annual Form 1099 reporting and responding to vendor inquiries. The individual will supervise the Finance Office Assistant and volunteers, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently. The role also involves processing new hires and exiting employees, including managing employee changes and benefits as applicable. The candidate will work with staff concerning Ministry Safe Training and background checks, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Payroll processing and payroll tax reporting are also critical components of this position. The individual will collaborate with the Executive Pastor regarding insurance renewals and the related processing of claims, if needed. Preparing the annual Workman's Comp Audit and maintaining Benevolence files while assisting with processing requests as needed are additional responsibilities. The candidate will support the Executive Pastor with other tasks as requested related to the above categories, making this a dynamic and multifaceted role.
