About The Position

The Financial Accounting & Analysis Professional at Freddie Mac will play a crucial role in the Investments and Capital Markets (I&CM) CFO department, focusing on financial accounting, reporting, and analysis. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Proven ability to produce results and solve sophisticated problems
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and supporting documents
• Perform monthly validations and balancing between subledger, general ledger and source systems
• Prepare monthly and quarterly analytics reports
• Prepare quarterly footnotes and disclosures to support public financial reporting
• Support SOX documentation requirements
• Prepare ad-hoc requests when needed
• Interact and communicate optimally with business and other upstream or downstream partners
• Proactively seek opportunities for improvements
