Financial Accountant
About The Position
We are seeking a skilled financial accountant to maintain our financial records and ensure compliance with accounting regulations at our company Review month end financial reports from our investment custodian and record the investment income and assets in our General Ledger. Must be able to prepare monthly financials on a regular basis and help prepare year - end financial statements that get presented to the Board of trustees. Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of the forms 5500, 720, 1120, 990, 990T and 990PF, also reviews, approves, and signs off on requests for copies. Muse be capable of utilizing State Streets website on a regular basis to interact and download investment reports that are used for various tasks including the preparation of the yearend financial and cash flow statement. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
- 4+ years of experience in the accounting profession.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in financial and non for profit Accounting.
- Experience in a multinational or cross-cultural work environment.
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Great organizational and time management skills.
