About The Position

Brothers of Charity Services Ireland are looking for bright, ambitious individuals who have a positive attitude towards working with people with an intellectual disability and who are committed to ensuring that our persons supported lead as fulfilling and enjoyable a life as possible. The role of a Financial Accountant: The person appointed will be a key member of the Finance Team providing effective accounting and operational support to the Head of Finance and organisational stakeholders. The role includes responsibility for line managing designated Finance Team colleagues and contributing to their ongoing development.

Requirements

Be a qualified accountant holding current membership of an approved accountancy body (e.g. Chartered Accountants Ireland, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants)
have a minimum of three years’ relevant experience
have excellent skills in the use of MS Excel and be highly competent in Microsoft packages and accounting software
have excellent numeracy, analytical, communication and organisational skills
the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability, initiative and interpersonal skills) for the proper discharge of the duties of the post
have an appreciation of the needs and rights of people with intellectual disabilities
Possession of a “B” class clean Irish Driving Licence is essential
