The Business Analytics, Data, and Systems (BADaS) team at Chainalysis creates intuitive, scalable, and secure technology experiences that accelerate our growth and empower employees to do their best work.
The Finance Systems Analyst at Chainalysis plays a critical role in the design, implementation, and administration of our Finance & Accounting systems architecture. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Finance Systems.
The ideal candidate partners closely with business stakeholders to deeply understand business requirements. They work side-by-side with the Senior Finance Systems Administrator to design solutions and document the associated technical specifications. Clear, proactive communication with stakeholders to provide status updates and timelines is essential. A foundation in administering financial systems is also required. Success in this position depends on building strong relationships with our business partners, from Finance and Accounting executive leadership to the operational stakeholders responsible for critical company processes.

In this role, you will:
Deliver intuitive technology experiences to employees through technical and business process improvements, and to partners through strategic collaboration
Serve as the first line of support on our Finance Systems help desk, resolving straightforward issues and inquiries, and partnering with the appropriate team members to escalate more complex requests as needed
Develop enablement materials for new system enhancements, lead monthly Lunch & Learn sessions to educate users, and provide additional training opportunities as needed
Collaborate with stakeholders and systems administrators to identify areas for improvement, scope solutions, refine business requirements, test, and launch new modules, systems, and enhancements to our tech stack
Provide regular updates to business partners on priorities, initiatives, and progress
Partner with the Senior Finance Systems Admin and Senior Manager, Finance Systems, to define and implement business systems best practices that support seamless, scalable user experiences while keeping our data and systems secure
Identify opportunities for automation and develop AI use cases to further accelerate automation across the organization

Requirements

• Experience as a technically proficient, NetSuite-focused Systems Analyst with demonstrated expertise across ERP, financial planning and forecasting, and procurement platforms and processes; or prior experience working with NetSuite in a consulting capacity.
• Experience working in a tech-forward project management environment, with strong knowledge of the full lifecycle of systems enhancement work.
• A basic understanding of low-code integration tools (iPaaS/ETL), such as Workato.
• A basic understanding of the following NetSuite modules: ARM, FAM, Multi-Book, Electronic Payments, and SuiteBilling.
• Experience working across core finance process areas: Record to Report, Procure to Pay, and Order to Cash.
• A basic understanding of consolidated financial statements, including P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Experience in setting and managing stakeholder expectations through the creation of business requirements, charters, and roadmaps.
• Experience leading or contributing to cross-functional projects involving stakeholders from multiple teams and systems.
• Comfort and effectiveness working with stakeholders at all levels, from executives to individual contributors.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Salesforce and core enterprise business processes
• Experience working in Agile-style environments that use Jira to manage user stories, sprints, grooming, and retrospectives
• Proven ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-changing, and sometimes ambiguous environments
• Prior hands-on experience implementing NetSuite ARM and SuiteBilling modules
• Experience partnering closely with Finance teams
