The Finance Support Analyst is responsible for analyzing, testing, and documenting financial processes and systems. This role requires a deep understanding of various business aspects and their translation into data, ensuring accurate documentation of processes. The analyst will collaborate with both technical and non-technical users across different teams to understand internal processes and system requirements, contributing to the overall efficiency of the organization.

  • Prepares process documentation and participates in training sessions for end users
  • Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation
  • Performs analysis and documentation of finance-related processes and workflows
  • Helps to gather, analyze, and clean up data to ensure alignment with system requirements
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures that comply with company and legal regulations
  • Assists in resolving problems and day-to-day operational needs, often completing a variety of tasks in addition to those listed within these responsibilities as necessary for efficient operations
  • Conducts ad hoc analysis, special projects, and support in various areas as assigned
  • Experience with Deltek Vision or VantagePoint accounting software preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, particularly VLOOKUP'S, PIVOT'S, SUMIF formulas required for this role
  • 3+ years' experience analyzing system functionality working in a professional business environment
  • Experience with process documentation is highly preferred
  • Capacity to learn quickly, recall key details, and willingness to ask questions as needed
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer service orientation
  • Organization and time management skills with the ability to engage and educate others
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively and take direction with a positive attitude
