About The Position
The Finance Summer Intern position at ABS offers a unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the financial operations of a leading global organization. Interns will be integrated within the ABS business operations, gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of financial processes, analytical exercises, and transaction processing. This internship is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience, allowing interns to work closely with a designated advisor to develop skills related to ABS's core business functions while contributing to key deliverables. Throughout the internship, finance interns will be assigned multiple projects that may vary in complexity, including significant assignments such as Global Billing or several smaller, less complex projects. Interns will assist with financial transaction processing, analysis, and verification of proper financial procedures under supervision. Effective communication is essential, as interns will be expected to update team members on the status of their workload to ensure client needs are met. Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to propose advice to billers within Finance and other international billing locations, as well as suggest new approaches to problems encountered during their projects. The role also involves managing bank accounts, performing application control testing, and assisting in the development of business performance metrics. Interns will collaborate with various teams, including credit control, collections, and global billing offices, to support data collection efforts aimed at improving data quality. This internship is not only a chance to apply academic knowledge in a practical setting but also to contribute to the ongoing success of ABS's financial operations.
