About The Position

The Finance Representative II answers questions and resolves accounting/finance problems for internal and external customers. Requires extensive analysis of system data and interaction with customers via phone or email. Performs a variety of routine and some non-routine clerical/accounting functions in accordance with standard procedures in one or more of the following areas: general accounting, accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, billing or related financial area. May perform some data entry. May contact other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve problems. Reconciles commissionable, activity, bank accounts, posts information and balances general or subsidiary ledgers and processes payments. Performs other duties as assigned by management. Physical ability to sit, talk, listen and keyboard continuously for extended periods. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Exhibit active problem-solving skills for timely resolution of customer issues. Familiar with accounting and journal entry procedures. Strong analytical/logical thinker Strong customer service skills. Thorough research skills. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS WHICH MAY BE REQUIRED FOR A PARTICULAR JOB: Validate, investigate, research and resolve complex, advanced and in-depth customer inquiries. Complete all work accurately, efficiently and on time. Make good business decisions to minimize bad debt, churn and payment errors. Contact internal and external customers as appropriate and in a timely manner. Use all systems and applications available to service customer requests. Maintain a working knowledge of all department functions. Provide feedback to management regarding training needs. Support other team members in the completion of assigned job duties. Participate in training and development of self and others in department. Use computer to access company systems to perform work. Conduct reviews/audits and prepare reports to document work and results. May assist higher-level specialist and/or management in reporting, verification.

Requirements

  • Applicants will be expected to pass any assessments or tests associated with the position.
  • Specific job requirements may require day, evening, weekend or holiday tours.
  • Occasional overtime may be required.
  • Ability to work extended/variable hours, including weekends, holidays, evenings, etc. as necessary.

  • Associate degree in related discipline or equivalent experience preferred.
