About The Position

Reporting to the Precision Connections Director of Finance, the Finance Project Manager will play a critical lead role in Winchester’s  upcoming Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementation and working with our manufacturing sites to ensure Audit and Regulatory Compliance. This role requires a blend of deep financial expertise, project management skills, and a meticulous focus on internal controls and reporting integrity. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • 5-10 years of experience in cost accounting or related area
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting standards
  • Proficiency in accounting and ERP software (Visual Manufacturing preferred)
  • Familiarity with actual costing methods and understanding of standard costing
  • Analytical Excellence: Demonstrated ability to analyze and accurately interpret complex data to pinpoint trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Precision and Detail: Commitment to ensuring high accuracy in all data management tasks and the effective implementation of our ERP system.
  • Proactive Problem Solving: Proven capability to identify and address inefficiencies, developing and implementing effective solutions to streamline processes
  • Effective Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for successful collaboration across various departments and during interactions with Internal Audit.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, including mastery of complex formulas and financial analysis functions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Finance Track for the end-to-end ERP implementation (selection, design, testing, and go-live) to ensure finance and accounting requirements are fully met.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze current financial processes (e.g., Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, GL management) and redesign them for efficiency, scalability, and enhanced internal controls within the new ERP system.
  • Data Integrity & Migration: Oversee the mapping, cleansing, and migration of financial data from legacy systems to the new ERP, ensuring accuracy and reconciliation of all critical financial balances.
  • System Ownership: Serve as the primary finance system support and subject matter expert post-implementation, managing ongoing configuration, security, and optimization.
  • User Training & Support: Develop and deliver training programs for the finance team and other key users on the new ERP modules and established workflows.
  • Audit Support: Manage and coordinate support needed for all external and internal audits, serving as the primary liaison between the auditors and the finance team. Prepare all necessary schedules, documentation, and explanations.
  • Policy & Procedure: Develop, update, and enforce financial policies and procedures to align with best practices and regulatory requirements, particularly those impacted by the new ERP 
  • Internal Controls (SOX/Equivalent): Design, document, implement, and monitor robust internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) across all financial processes, with a specific focus on controls within the ERP environment.
