We are seeking a talented Finance Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable systems and platforms that power our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This role bridges finance and engineering, focusing on automating financial processes, integrating data sources, and enabling real-time insights for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering skills with a deep understanding of financial operations to create robust, user-friendly tools that empower FP&A professionals to deliver accurate and timely insights.

  • Design, develop, and maintain FP&A platforms and tools, including data pipelines, dashboards, and automation workflows for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Build and optimize data integration pipelines from multiple sources (ERP systems, BI tools, databases, and external APIs) to ensure accurate, real-time financial data availability.
  • Collaborate closely with FP&A analysts, finance leaders, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Automate reporting processes, scenario modeling, and multi-currency/multi-entity financial planning to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Implement and maintain security, compliance, and performance standards for financial systems, including data governance and audit trails.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, monitor system performance, and drive continuous improvements to enhance reliability and scalability.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies (e.g., cloud-based FP&A tools, AI-driven forecasting) to keep the platform modern and effective.
  • Document technical designs, processes, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and onboarding.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or financial systems development
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, Java, or similar, with experience in data processing and automation.
  • Strong knowledge of data integration, ETL processes, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, or containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Background in fintech or high-growth companies.
  • Certifications in relevant tools (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Anaplan Model Builder) are a plus.
