About The Position

A well-established Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is seeking a Finance Operations Manager to take ownership of its financial processes and team. This is a hands-on, leadership-level role ideal for someone who can step into big shoes, manage daily operations, and drive process improvement through smart system implementation and oversight. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys getting into the details while keeping a strategic, top-level view of financial operations—and who feels a sense of responsibility to get things done right and on time .

Requirements

• experience in finance, accounting, or operations management
• Proven track record of managing or overseeing a small finance team
• Comfortable rolling up their sleeves to get into the work when necessary
• Strong systems thinker — you love automating and improving workflows
• Highly responsible and deeply committed to accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills — able to interface with executive leadership and staff alike

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations including payables, receivables, payroll processing, and reporting
• Ensure all entries and reports are accurate, timely, and compliant
• Manage and support a small finance team while stepping in directly when needed to ensure deadlines are met
• Maintain deep understanding of all systems and processes — from invoice processing to payroll — without needing to personally handle every detail
• Implement and refine internal systems to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial operations
• Support leadership with financial insights and reporting , ensuring decisions are backed by accurate data
• Identify inefficiencies and suggest or implement automation tools or process improvements
