Join us at AWS Finance! AWS Service Finance is looking for a Finance Manager to
support capacity utilization in the Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) business.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost
infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers hundreds of thousands of
enterprise, government and start-up business and organizations in over 190
countries around the world. Launched in 2006, Amazon Web Services officially
began offering developer customers access to web services – now widely known as
cloud computing – based on Amazon’s own back-end technology platform.

AWS EC2 Capacity Finance seeks a Finance Manager to be a key member of its team.
This position will work closely with key business partners to drive planning and
controllership on EC2 Capacity Utilization goal.

Requirements

• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

Nice To Haves

• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
• MBA, or CPA
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL
• 5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

Responsibilities

• Taking the lead in EC2 utilization planning and analysis; building complex financial models which involve large data set and analytical tools to set and track overall financial performance against goals.
• Closely partner with EC2 business team to drive capacity efficiency improvement and utilization goal.
• Be a thought leader to improve and simplify processes, drive standardization, and build scalable solutions to support business growth
