About The Position

As a Financial Manager for Anduril’s Hardware Engineering organization, you will be a critical strategic partner to the business and a key driver of financial performance and accountability. This role extends beyond traditional FP&A into leadership-level influence, owning the financial health and growth trajectory of both the Hardware Engineering team and the programs it supports. You will not only drive budgeting, forecasting, and reporting but also collaborate with program leads, business unit VPs, and executive leaders to deliver insights, optimize resource allocation, and ensure financial alignment with Anduril’s long-term mission. Additionally, you will play a leadership role in building and developing the financial team and scaling processes to meet the needs of a growing and complex organization.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in financial leadership roles, ideally within FP&A, investment banking, buy-side investing, consulting, or tech-focused industries.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related discipline; advanced degrees or certifications (MBA, CPA, CFA) a strong plus.
Proven expertise in scaling financial organizations in a high-growth environment.
DoD/military industry experience combined with familiarity in areas like hardware engineering or advanced manufacturing.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with a track record of influencing high-stakes strategic and operational decisions.
Deep technical skills in financial systems (Oracle, Anaplan, Foundry) and excellence in leveraging data for meaningful decisions.
Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills, with a passion for mentoring and upskilling team members.
Ability to operate at multiple altitudes, from high-level strategic thinking to in-the-details execution.
Executive presence with a collaborative, concise, and action-oriented communication style.
Must be authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree or professional certifications providing added expertise in finance or related disciplines.
Experience with defense contracting and cost-plus/fixed-price program financial management frameworks.
Track record of driving operational efficiencies, cost optimizations, and scalable processes.

Responsibilities

Lead financial planning and forecasting processes for the Hardware Engineering function, focusing on long-term planning, tight budgetary control, and insightful performance analysis.
Serve as a senior-level finance business partner for VP and senior leadership audiences, providing guidance on strategic opportunities, risks, and trade-offs.
Manage and enhance comprehensive financial models, tying operational strategy, investment decisions, and program execution to company-level outcomes.
Own all financial reports and presentations for executive leadership, distilling complex data into clear, actionable narratives.
Oversee the design and implementation of best-in-class financial dashboards and tools to enable transparency and real-time decision-making at all levels of the organization.
Drive cross-functional alignment during the annual planning process, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders
Partner with program management to understand multi-product roadmaps, prioritize investments, and track program profitability and performance.
Lead the evaluation and justification of new investments, including ROI analysis, trade studies, and decision frameworks.
Build and mentor a high-performing team of analysts, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives across systems, processes, and tools to support Anduril’s growth.
