About The Position

Finance Manager Position Summary: Full time salaried position Onsite based out of our San Diego, CA location This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records and providing on-site financial support to the site Clinical General Manager, Clinical Manager and the Operational San Diego Clinical leaders. Catalent’s San Diego facility focuses on early stage development of small molecule and peptide drug candidates from the bench to the clinic. This facility offers an array of services that support oral and injectable dosage forms that include preformulation testing, formulation and analytical development, cGMP manufacturing and clinical packaging, labeling, and worldwide distribution.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, required; Prefer MBA or CPA
  • Minimum seven years experience in finance and accounting
  • Minimum three years’ supporting manufacturing and distribution entities
  • Experience with ERP systems (JDE preferred)
  • Experience with planning and consolidation systems (HFM/OneStream preferred)
  • Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly accounting, forecast & reporting processes to ensure that Corporate, Business Unit, and Site objectives and timelines are met
  • Support the Manufacturing Accounting process; managing work orders, routers and costing deliverables
  • Support the Site Engineering team on the Financial Analysis for Capex investment
  • Coordinate inventory related activities with management and Inventory Control, including analysis, reporting, annual wall to wall inventory count, cycle count activities; inventory adjustment needs; and help ensure overall inventory accuracy
  • Assist the General Manager in establishing metrics, performing budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial/operational analysis related to fixed asset purchases, base cost management, working capital management, headcount control, and operational performance
  • Ensure compliance to Corporate policies related activities are conducted as documented, help coordinate changes as required, and work with corporate as required in the review and testing; this includes working with both internal and external auditors
  • Other duties as assigned
