As the Finance Manager, you are responsible for leading certain aspects of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function and supporting the executive leadership team’s growth and strategic initiatives. This position reports directly to the CFO of UHOne and requires a blend of solid financial, analytical, communication, and leadership skills. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of broad finance experience (Experience in FP&A, accounting, or treasury; or investment banking, management consulting, private equity or venture capital preferred)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Advanced or higher level of proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and financial modeling
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and management skills
  • Demonstrated excellent analytical, project management and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and comfortable being hands-on in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, management, business administration, or related field
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry
  • Advanced technical skills in FP&A and financial modeling
  • Proven exceptional written, and verbal communication skills including developing executive materials with high-level of accuracy and attention to details
  • Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations and high paced environments
  • Demonstrated ability to develop influence across organizational boundaries especially with sales and client facing partners

Responsibilities

  • Develop, perform, and manage all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting – membership, medical costs, insurance and agency distribution net gross margin, trends in sales, SG&A, and product line profitability.
  • Support the development of established strategies, plans, and processes to improve profitability and market share.
  • Research economic progressions to assist with the organization's financial planning.
  • Present findings and recommendations to CFO and CEO.
  • Collaborate with UHC E&I Finance team on forecast and budget deliverables.
  • Potential to manage 1-2 FP&A team members in the future.
