About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to join our team in New Berlin, WI. The Finance Manager position is accountable for the financial operations of the Gortrac and Mexico business units located in Valparaiso, IN and Leon, MX respectively. This individual will act as a key business partner to the General Manager and the leadership team, providing robust financial oversight and guidance. The ideal candidate blends strong financial accounting and analysis skills, ensuring financial integrity, with Power BI modeling and data analysis – owning both the “what” and the “why” behind results. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in financial/accounting functions in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ERP background in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of cost accounting, FIFO inventory, and GAAP accounting principles.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various corporate functions and leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze monthly P&L results, comparing to forecasts budget and prior year along with assisting with strategic planning.
  • Develop annual budget through cross functional collaboration and business partnership.
  • Develop strong relationships and act as business partner to Gortrac and Mexico teams.
  • Primary point of contact for Gortrac and Mexico team for financial analyses and financial information requests.
  • Support management team with ad hoc financial analyses and forecasting as requested.
  • Review customer and product line margins with business teams and partner with teams to drive improvement.
  • Prepare and enter standard general journal entries for month end closing activities.
  • Work within ERP system to input, manage, analyze, and extract data for various reports.
  • Apply an understanding of manufacturing financial principles, including cost accounting, routing and BOM analysis, labor efficiency tracking, and PPV analysis to provide accurate product costing and reporting, production variances and margin analysis.
  • Work with engineering to ensure the accuracy of bill of material and costing standards for production.
  • Attend plant production meetings and business meetings to understand the pace of the business and offer ad-hoc analysis in discussing results.
  • Own the Power BI environment for Finance: design and maintain interactive dashboards, collaborate with IT to optimize data, create self-serve analytics and training materials for business users to improve literacy across the organization.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements to accelerate closing process and financial analysis.
  • Other general accounting responsibilities and special projects as required.
