Join Shipping with Amazon ( SWA), Amazon's fast-growing third-party logistics business building a world-class parcel delivery network to rival UPS and FedEx. Your analytical skills will directly impact how we grow and optimize our shipper portfolio. A day in the life Your day will be a blend of deep financial analysis, collaborative problem-solving, and strategic partnership. You'll dive into shipper- level data, analyze revenue and cost performance, and work closely with Business Development and Pricing teams to drive commercial decisions. Each day brings unique challenges that require creativity, precision, comfort with ambiguity, and a passion for understanding the financial drivers of a rapidly scaling business.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

Nice To Haves

  • MBA, or CFA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Responsibilities

  • Serving as the primary finance partner to Commercial and Business Development teams, providing shipper-level revenue and cost analysis, performance tracking, and deal support
  • Reviewing and approving individual shipper deals, ensuring alignment with profitability thresholds and commercial guardrails
  • Diving deep into shipper financial data and becoming a subject matter expert to provide insights that drive commercial decisions
  • Building and maintaining shipper performance dashboards and reporting to give Business Development teams a clear understanding of customer economics
  • Partnering directly with Finance and central FP&A groups to collaborate on metrics, goals, variance analysis, and business reviews
  • Building and fostering effective relationships across Commercial, Operations, and Finance organizations
  • Providing financial insights to senior leadership on shipper portfolio performance, deal pipeline, and revenue trends
  • Developing and streamlining processes for deal approval, revenue tracking, and shipper profitability analysis
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with tech teams to develop automated solutions for recurring analysis and data access
  • Leveraging AI tools to continuously improve current processes
