About The Position

As an Automotive Finance Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on our business and in the lives of our team members and customers every day. The Finance & Insurance Manager's primary responsibility is to manage the financial transaction of the vehicle buying experience for each customer of the dealership. You will work with lenders to obtain bank approvals for car purchases, produce the financial paperwork, and consult the staff on DMV laws. You will work directly with the sales team and customers to assist in the financial buying process of the car buying experience, build rapport with customers to establish a base of referrals, and consult and sell finance & insurance warranties to customers.

Requirements

  • Prior automotive sales consultant experience required; 1-3 years.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance or related field preferred.
  • MBA a plus.
  • Track record of impeccable customer service ratings.
  • Ability to understand tag and title laws; DMV.
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office products and dealership management systems.
  • Detail-oriented and organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and a team player.
  • Strategic thinker that strives to find solutions for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the financial transaction of the vehicle buying experience for each customer.
  • Work with lenders to obtain bank approvals for car purchases.
  • Produce financial paperwork and consult staff on DMV laws.
  • Assist sales team and customers in the financial buying process.
  • Build rapport with customers to establish a base of referrals.
  • Consult and sell finance & insurance warranties to customers.
  • Produce and submit accurate paperwork for title work and secure funding from finance sources.
  • Achieve monthly objectives and meet deadlines for customer paperwork.
  • Secure and handle customer money during vehicle transactions.
  • Adhere to local and national regulations and advise sales team on state laws.
  • Partner with service advisors to assist customers with purchasing extended warranties.
  • Maintain relationships with lenders and vendors.
  • Give proper finance and insurance menu presentations explaining warranty packages.
  • Assist sales professionals with customers to explain lending options and warranties.
  • Build relationships with local and national bank and manufacturer representatives.
