About The Position
The University at Buffalo (UB) Graduate Medical Education (GME) Office is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Manager to coordinate, collaborate, and support the financial activities for 70 Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited medical residency and fellowship programs. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the GME Office. The Financial Manager will work closely with an experienced Chief Financial Officer and a Medicare Financial Analyst to manage various financial processes and projects. Key responsibilities include overseeing accounting functions such as accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), and journal entries. The Financial Manager will also be responsible for conducting ad hoc analysis and research, coordinating the annual budget project, and managing the trial balance review. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all financial activities align with the strategic goals of the GME Office.
