About The Position

The Finance Manager at Custom Culinary is responsible for overseeing financial planning and analysis, ensuring best practices in planning and reporting activities. This role involves managing annual and quarterly forecasts, month-end reporting, and general business analytics to support improved profitability analysis and results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, particularly D365 and BPC.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the foodservice or food processing industry.
  • Knowledge of revenue recognition principles.
  • Familiarity with portfolio optimization processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning process including scheduling and leading meetings to review status against planning timelines.
  • Oversee the development of the raw material and packaging costs budget using guidance from Purchasing.
  • Drive continued process improvements in building Sales budget and forecasts.
  • Support the process for building Selling expense budget and forecasts.
  • Support building the SG&A budgets for other functions.
  • Consolidate and load data to BPC for forecasts and AOP.
  • Lead the monthly financial closing process.
  • Ensure Revenue Recognition follows established procedures.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify key drivers for monthly financial performance.
  • Ensure expenses are properly coded and complete adjusting entries as needed.
  • Validate data in BPC ties to D365 general ledger and distribute scorecard.
  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and ensure D365 balances align with G2 Sales reporting tool.
  • Investigate, recommend, and implement improved systems including technological, procedural, and talent improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal controls and processes.
  • Prepare Month End Reporting package and support completion of annual audit.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting to support business projects/initiatives.
  • Ensure that the interfaces between D365 and Blacksmith are correct and lead resolution of issues as needed.
  • Manage and support continued development of one direct reporting employee.
  • Support the development of department employees and improve talent, skills, and capabilities.
  • Provide support to the ongoing Portfolio optimization process including sales data, costs, margin, and analytics needed for the process.
  • Support processes to ensure new products achieve targeted margins.
  • Quantify and track realized price increases and conduct price/volume/mix analysis.
  • Lead the annual development and execution of GPE for SG&A expense.
