This job is responsible for contributing to the efficient and effective management of the bank's capital to maintain capital adequacy needed for supporting responsible growth and return to shareholders. Key responsibilities include partnering with Lines of Business (LOBs), Global Technology, Chief Finance Officer, Group Data Management, Treasury Policy and Advocacy, Global Risk Analytics (GRA), Centralized Regulatory Reporting (CRR), and Investor Relations. Job expectations include applying expertise in capital regulations, reporting, and analysis to support the bank's capital initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with financial markets products or quantitative methods applied to finance and banking or similar type role
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in finance, engineering, computer science, mathematics, or statistics – or related work experience
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Quick learner and detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Familiar with capital requirements under Basel 3 or FRTB
  • Knowledge of derivative products and risk management
  • Experience working with large databases, and identifying and correcting data problems

Responsibilities

  • Produces and monitors market risk risk-weighted assets (RWA) metrics and reports
  • Investigates and explains period over period capital movements
  • Builds relationships with partners and ensures appropriate level of capital knowledge
  • Fosters relationships with partners in capital management, business and finance to resolve capital questions
  • Directs calculation, reporting and/or analysis activities to support the Bank's Capital Initiatives
  • Analyzes regulatory capital results
  • Works with technology team to implement solutions and perform testing
