About The Position

Atlassian is seeking an experienced finance leader to join our Commercial Finance team, focusing on our AI and Consumption Based Pricing (“CBP”) product strategy. In this high-impact role, you will shape financial strategy and influence key decisions for our AI & CBP product suite in close partnership with executive leadership, ensuring alignment with Atlassian’s strategic vision and financial goals. You will drive long-term business planning for AI & CBP products, guide gross margin and profitability strategies, and optimize resource allocation. As a strategic partner, you will provide critical financial insights to leaders across Product, Engineering, Finance, and Sales, and clearly communicate financial priorities to support profitable growth in our expanding AI portfolio. As Atlassian scales toward $10 billion in revenue and sustained GAAP profitability, this role will be instrumental in delivering strategic finance support for our most innovative products.

Requirements

• 4+ years of progressive experience in strategic finance roles, partnering closely with R&D, Product, Sales, and Marketing leaders.
• Proven track record of driving business performance and supporting strategic decision-making.
• Exceptional communication and analytical skills, with the ability to distill complex issues in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
• Experience providing thought leadership and actionable recommendations to executive teams to improve business outcomes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Technology industry experience required; Cloud/SaaS experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with executive leadership and senior stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Finance, and Sales to drive financial strategy and business performance.
• Co-design and influence business models, pricing, and packaging for the AI product suite, including developing long-term, consumption-based monetization strategies.
• Communicate financial strategy, priorities, and rationale across all AI & CBP products, enabling integrated, end-to-end financial planning and decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to evaluate and drive long-term improvements in topline and bottom-line performance, as well as related strategic initiatives and investments.
• Monitor market trends and benchmarks to inform business planning and provide actionable insights.
• Lead the development and execution of the long-term strategy for Atlassian’s AI & CBP products, working with leaders to build, scale, and grow the business.
