Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced finance professional to lead our finance team supporting the Commercial HVAC (CHVAC) Americas Equipment Product Growth Teams (PGTs). This role offers a unique opportunity to partner directly with senior business and product leadership, driving financial strategy and performance for a leading segment. The ideal candidate thrives in a complex, matrixed environment and demonstrates strategic insight, operational rigor, leadership capabilities and a passion for enabling growth through financial stewardship. As the Finance Leader supporting Equipment PGTs, you will report to the CHVAC Finance Leader and serve as the primary finance business partner to the CHVAC VP of Product Management. This role influences decision-making and enabling sustainable, profitable growth through a focus on delivering market insights, interpreting sales trends and understanding pricing dynamics. You will blend strong analytical capabilities, cross-functional collaboration, and executive communication to deliver value in a rapidly evolving setting. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting related field, MBA and/or CPA a plus.
  • 12+ years of experience within the Finance function of a publicly held global Corporation required
  • Willingness to travel 25% of time.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, managing and developing high-performing teams. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders.
  • In-depth knowledge of internal controls, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work independently, implement process improvements, and perform in a matrix environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic partner to key senior business leaders, providing market and share analysis and insights that drive business decisions and long-term strategies.
  • Work collaboratively across the organization to develop strategic long-range plans (LRP), capital investments, and business case proposals (Capital Expenditure Requests with a focus on new product development) and drive accountability through execution to ensure achievement of planned return on investment.
  • Focus on product forecasts and actuals, providing analysis of price, margins, volume, and mix; integrate with SIOP process, connecting market outlooks with input from product management, sales, and supply chain to maximize returns on working capital investments.
  • Partner with Strategy and Business Development teams to support growth and acquisitions; including, financial modeling and due diligence.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Perform frequent and complex ad hoc analytical assignments and assist in other finance functions and responsibilities as needed.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly/quarterly business unit (BU) reports like Monthly Operating Reviews (MOR) and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) presentations that highlight market, pricing, and other relevant insights to help achieve or exceed AOP.
  • Serve as key member of the CHVAC Finance Leadership team driving actions and strategies to advance our talent to ensure that Trane Technologies is the destination employer for all Americas Finance talent.
  • Leverage data analytics to provide actionable insights that inform business strategies and operational improvements.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions to ensure the financial health of the equipment portfolio.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of sophisticated financial models to understand and predict market trends impacting future financial outcomes.
  • Maintain strong compliance with internal controls and company policies to safeguard the integrity of financial data and processes.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business objectives.
  • Communicate financial performance, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management and business leaders.
  • Provide training and mentorship to the finance team, promoting continuous learning and development.
